⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hey guys, wanna know how to get rid of frizzy hair or just make your hair look a bit smaller?
This video is for you.
Here are my 5 best tips for decreasing your hair Volume 🙂
Use thinning scissors.
you can actually do it yourself. There’s plenty of videos kicking around of people thinning their own hair with thinning scissors. I personally, would leave it up to the hairdresser because I wouldn’t trust myself but if you are daring enough I guess you can go balls to the wall with it.
Thinning scissors look similar to normal scissors except with teeth. It’s kinda like a serrated butter knife and when a hairdresser uses them, they only cut the hair that falls between the gaps, which essentially equates to removing half the hair that your hairdresser grabs.
The technique works for not only debulking but also adding texture to your hair.
Get a Hair straightener.
When having big hair a hair straightener is a must have in your arsenal. Even for you guys with shorter hair a straightening iron can prove useful. Using a straightener with the right products can definitely help decrease some of that bulk and it also makes the hair a lot more workable with products, shaping and makes it far less unruly.
Get a Keratin treatment.
OMG a keratin treatment probably the best thing my hair has ever been through. 3 years ago I got a bhave keratin treatment for the first time and it completely changed the look and texture of my hair. It was far softer, far smaller and WAY more manageable on a day to day basis without me even needing to do anything.
A keratin treatment can be rather expensive and will only last on average 3 months but it’s well worth it believe me!
I can remember waking up day after day and it was smooth as hell. I’m actually going to be getting another one very soon which I will be filming, I’m just waiting for my hair to completely grow out and then boom, I’m getting one.
I would recommend a keratin treatment for ANYONE who even has just the slightest of boof. It’ll make the world of difference.
Decreasing Frizz Volume
So if I’ve learnt anything about big poofy frizzy hair, you have to do your best to keep your already frazzled cuticles from becoming more frazzled.
Wash your hair with Cold Water.
Cold water helps seal the cuticles of your hair that little bit extra which will give your natural curls a little more bounce and definition without the frizz. Using hot water encourages the cuticles to open up which makes the hair frizzy. Try it out and see if you notice a difference.
Use a leave in cream or conditioner with a sealing gel or spray.
What this does is allows to hair to absorb moisture and lock it in without letting excess humidity come in and f#ck your shit up.
This method helps me for sure but it’s not a complete answer to my prayers. In all honesty, other than a keratin treatment, I don’t think theres a product out there that can completely seal and protect your hair from humidity. I have tried so many and unfortunately I’ve just got to work with what I have. This summer actually has been one of the most difficult for my hair. It’s just been SO frizzy! I cannot wait to get that keratin treatment haha.
So that’s it for my 5 tips on decreasing hair volume guys. I hope you found this interesting and most of all I hope you found it helpful.
